how we work
our advocacy takes three complementary forms: grassroots, policy and parliamentary
Combining these different approaches to advocacy in a coordinated way makes the whole greater than the sum of the individual parts, and helps us to realise our vision of a world free from poverty.
grassroots advocacy
Our grassroots campaigners are skilled advocates who take action in their communities, build relationships with their elected representatives and influence Government decisions to end poverty.
policy advocacy
Through our policy work we develop rigorous expertise on international development issues, allowing us to engage in policy discussions with civil servants and with international organisations.
parliamentary advocacy
We work hard to build powerful, long-lasting relationships with parliamentarians of all political parties to develop them as champions for our issues, to help influence decision-makers in the UK and internationally.
