It doesn’t seem like the kind of thing you can just leave lying around…

But that seems like what the UK Government has done. On June 8th, 2013, the UK pledged that it would be spending £655 million on fighting global undernutrition – a condition which takes the lives of over 1 million children every year.

But since then, they have gone fairly quiet, making spending announcements which only add up to about 5% of the total.

So where’s the rest of the money gone? Well, as we approach the anniversary of that historic commitment, we’re going to be asking the UK Government exactly that. We’re going to be pushing for letters in the local and national media, and Tweeting our MPs.

We’re launching this action with our monthly conference call, available to everyone interested in the issue on Tuesday 6th May at 8pm.

If you would like to join the call there are 3 numbers you can call – 0844 762 0762, 0203 398 1398 or 0800 22 90 900. You must then enter the participant code, which is 18723.

Before you join, be sure to read up on the issue and the action with these materials:

And while you wait, get Tweeting, and sign the Generation Nutrition petition.

We look forward to you joining us
