With heart and hard work, our staff and grassroots activists have contributed to some of the world’s biggest wins in the fight to end poverty – from mobilising billions in funding to alleviate diseases of poverty such as tuberculosis and polio, to ensuring millions more children have access to basic education. Here’s a list of some of the things that Results has campaigned on recently, with volunteer campaigners playing a big part in achieving change. Without people like you speaking out, these changes wouldn’t happen!

actions for SDGs
A Westminster Hall debate in Parliament enabled MPs to show their support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an essential framework for overcoming poverty and building a fairer world. Results’ campaigning helped the debate to happen.
funding for global health
We won a strong UK commitment from the UK Government to support global health. At the UN General Assembly in New York, the Government announced a package of support amounting to over £400 million.
standing up for vulnerable groups
With increasing public debate about refugees and asylum seekers taking negative overtones, we helped shift the argument, with campaigners speaking out about the need to protect vulnerable people seeking sanctuary as well as the most marginalised communities around the world.
increasing commitments for the Global Fund
The UK Government pledged £1 billion to the Global Fund to Fight HIV, TB and Malaria, with Results’ advocacy playing a key role in helping to push for this commitment.
funding for vaccine research
We fought for a Government pledge for CEPI, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations. The UK’s pledge of £160 million is a start towards funding CEPI’s ‘100 Days Mission’ to develop new treatments for future disease threats.
funding for nutrition
With a push from Results, the Government committed funds to the ‘Nutrition for Growth’ agenda, currently up to £1.5 billion until 2030.
funding for global education
We campaigned for the UK to commit money to the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). The Government hosted the Global Education Summit, committing £430 million over 5 years.
fighting cuts to ODA
Results played a big part in efforts to fight cuts to the UK’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) budget, which plays a big role in helping to fight poverty and inequality around the world. While budgets were reduced, we continue to push for resources to be increased again as soon as possible.
