We were joined this month by Rosanna Flury, the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia at the Global TB Caucus Secretariat. Rosanna works with members of the Eurasian Parliamentary Group on TB to help them maximise their impact on addressing TB at a national and regional level, and she also leads the work of the Global TB Caucus on the G20.
Rosanna shared with us her work on the upcoming UN High-Level Meeting on TB (26 September 2018), the first ever meeting of Heads of State specifically to combat the disease. RESULTS grassroots advocates have been campaigning on TB over many years, taking lots of opportunities to make a difference, and scoring many successes. But to have a chance of meeting the goal to end TB by 2030, a much higher level of political leadeship is needed. Rosanna explained why 2018 provides an unmissable opportunity to take the fight against TB to the next level.
