We kicked off 2020 with a network-wide conference call to discuss the politics of UK aid and development and the upcoming pledging moment for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which the UK will be hosting.

Our guest speakers on the call were Seb Meaney, Head of UK Strategy at Gavi, who talked about about the importance of UK support for Gavi and from Al Russell, Senior Public Affairs Adviser at Save the Children, on the role of DFID as a powerful anti-poverty institution.

Watch the call recording back below:

This month we’re taking action by asking our MPs and to write to the Secretary of State for International Development, asking him to continue the UK’s strong support for Gavi’s life-saving vaccination programmes. Find more information on the campaign. â€‹
