Catherine Martin

Catherine has worked in fundraising and grants management for a range of health, climate, and international development NGOs in Asia and the UK for more than a decade. She has built partnerships with major trusts and foundations and global statutory donors.  She currently works as senior manager in the public engagement team at the Wellcome Trust, helping to ensure that the voices of communities most affected by infectious disease, climate change, and mental health challenges shape the direction of global health research in these areas.  She is also a founding member of the Community Engagement and Inclusion Funders’ Group.  Her particular interest is in engaging people – especially those from Indigenous and minoritised communities – in co-creating and leading equitable solutions. 

Outside of work, Catherine loves experimental cooking, ancient ruins, and reading and writing science fiction about robots.
