In February, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a reduction in the UK’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) budget from 0.5% to 0.3% of Gross National Income. While the Government cites increased defence spending as a justification, taking these funds directly from the ODA budget will have devastating consequences for some of the world’s poorest people.

Earlier this year, before the cuts, Results volunteers took part in a joint-agency lobby day, with 115 campaigners meeting 45 MPs in total. On 20 May, we want to build on this success with an even bigger lobby day, meeting with MPs to discuss the cuts and find a way forward.
