For our April grassroots conference call, we were joined by Hannah Frisch, Senior Policy and Parliamentary Officer (Education) at Results UK. Hannah provided valuable context to this month’s action of asking our MPs to pressure the UK Government to protect and reprioritise funding for global education.

With the impeding cuts to Overseas Development Assistance (ODA), funding for global education – particularly at a foundational level – is at risk, and it is vital that the Government is persuaded to give education the priority it deserves as a catalyst for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Hannah also discussed the recent policy report published for the Send My Friend To School Coalition’s ‘Invest In My Friends’ Education’ campaign.
