Brick by Brick report cover image: Health worker with family receiving vaccines

The UN High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage is just around the corner, and it couldn’t come at a more opportune time. Progress is stalling or not happening fast enough in many critical areas of global health and, in many cases, our approach isn’t holistic enough, working in siloes and neglecting key interventions like nutrition that make our interventions less impactful and less sustainable.

Aside from the UN High-Level Meeting at this year’s UN General Assembly in September, the next 18 months will see replenishments of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, as well as the Nutrition for Growth Summit. These moments will raise vital funding to help us deliver on the Global Goals and offer a unique opportunity to ensure that as the world works towards Universal Health Coverage, we do this in a truly holistic and sustainable way.

To help you advocate on these forthcoming health financing moments and UHC as a whole, we’ve produced this handy little 4-pager on the basis of our recent Brick by Brick report. We hope you find it useful as you speak with decision-makers across the UK!
